Job Description

Marketing Executive

Scope

Provide marketing support to help the business improve lead generation and brand engagement and take primary responsibility for the development and maintenance of the company’s intranet site.  Specifically, the role focuses on six key areas:

1.      Marketing Management Information

2.      CRM and Database Management

3.      Marketing Research

4.      Event Management;

5.      Internal Communications; and

6.      Supporting marketing campaigns, the delivery of our content marketing strategies and our online marketing activities.

Accountabilities

Development of the marketing reporting dashboard and the provision of marketing management information in the formats and timescales agreed, including for inbound marketing leads, the marketing & sales pipeline, campaigns, online marketing and brand engagement.
Database management – specifically:
Using company databases and external information to develop target marketing lists for sales and marketing campaigns.
Supporting the implementation and development of a company wide sales and marketing CRM database and working with the business to ensure colleagues understand how to use the system and that it remains relevant.
Maintenance of campaign specific databases so that we can measure success and segment the data to fit campaign needs.
Keep the Marketing Promotion Record Sheet up to date and contribute toward the production of the monthly marketing management report.
Marketing research to support product development, marketing campaign design and to provide information about potential target markets and competitors.
Coordination and management of marketing seminars, conferences and exhibitions and any related advertising and promotion.
Writing and/or editing internal communications and managing the firm’s SharePoint intranet site including content and navigation changes and site improvements.
Provide and encourage ideas for the continued development of the SharePoint intranet site and manage any site improvements that are agreed.
Be a brand guardian ensuring marketing and client documents meet brand guidelines
Manage relationships with internal support functions, internal clients and external service providers of marketing services, to ensure that marketing maintains a positive profile and is seen as a key business support function.
Maintain awareness of marketing trends and seek and suggest new ways to improve marketing performance and the contribution to the business.
General marketing support across all activities, assisting colleagues and making sure the marketing team functions effectively and efficiently.
Person Specification

Qualifications, skills and experience

A degree, preferably in a marketing or business-related subject
Some experience of working with customers. That might have been in retail, hospitality, a contact centre or even the tourism and leisure industry.
Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong research skills and attention to detail
Analytical and data driven skills

Desirable

Have completed an undergraduate placement or internship
Email marketing, website and content management system experience an advantage
Technical and Behavioural Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication.
Excellent inter-personal relationship skills.
Strong organisational management.
